Career
Aleksandra Tonelli
With an international career spanning theaters and festivals in the United Kingdom, Europe, and Latin America, Aleksandra is a pianist, composer, and arranger dedicated to blending tradition and innovation. She holds a master's degree in Tango Piano and also works as a classical piano teacher, having completed formal studies in classical and jazz composition. Over the years, she has received both national and international recognition in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Argentina.
Currently, she leads Cocoliche Trio and Quinteto Irreal, where she performs original music that fuses tango and Argentine folklore with influences from jazz and classical music. She is also part of the artist collective at Batavierhuis Rotterdam. In parallel with her artistic work, she teaches artistic research at CODARTS Rotterdam and participates as an external expert at the Antwerp Conservatory. She also works as an independent piano teacher, composer, and arranger.

Quinteto Irreal is an international urban tango project. This project combines a unique traditional style with a fresh and authentic artistic vision, aimed at curious contemporary listeners. "Volver" speaks about the feeling of longing and the deep desire to return home.

Cocoliche Trio (2024)
Named after the iconic wine known for its complexity and depth, "CABERNET" demonstrates the power of musical creativity, fusion, and collaboration. Inspired by a diverse palette of sounds ranging from classical music to jazz, with cross influences from Argentine tango and folklore, "CABERNET" showcases Cocoliche’s innovative approach to music-making through its idiosyncratic sound.
The Migrant

The Migrant aims to reflect the emotional roller coaster of leaving home and starting over somewhere else. It’s a story about setting off with pockets full of dreams and facing the unexpected struggles that arise when trying to achieve them.

On the fifteenth day of the 2020 pandemic, I got married, in a foreign country, to the love of my life. This piece is inspired by how love and affection can make us shine even in the darkest moments.

SmartMusic! An Audiovisual Adventure.
This project offers an audiovisual experience with a narrative similar to that of a concert, aiming to generate new forms of cultural consumption. This audiovisual piece can be considered a short film, as the music was composed narratively, allowing its translation into an animated video design that tells a story.
